You’ve probably had many lime bars, cream cheese pie bars and others, but if you like key lime recipes, you really need to try these!
Why:
Because these Key Lime Bars are sure to please when you have a craving for something a little tart, and a little bit of sweet too.
They make a great dessert because they are soft, moist and you’ll be amazed at how quickly they come together. See a cake mix is the base!
You’d never guess though with additional fresh ingredients, it’s a real treat!
A glaze is poured over the top making these Key Lime Bars A.M.A.Z.I.N.G
Now sprinkle a bit of lime zest over the glaze, for a little burst of flavor and they are gourmet.
These Key Lime Cookie Bars are such a unique and delicious treat, that will be requested time and again.

Easy Key Lime Cookie Bars
Ingredients:
1 Tbl. softened butter
1 ½ – 2 Tbl. sugar
1 Key Lime cake mix
½ cup (1 stick) butter, melted
2 eggs
2 Tbl. Key lime juice
½ cup powdered sugar
2 tsp. Key lime juice
1-2 tsp. water
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
With 1 tablespoon of softened butter, evenly coat a 9×13” cake pan.
Pour in the sugar and tip the pan to evenly distribute the sugar.

In a large bowl combine the cake mix, melted butter, eggs and 2 Tbl. Key lime juice until it is all blended.
Press the mixture evenly into the cake pan.

Bake for 18-23 minutes; until the edges are a very light golden brown.
Cookie Key Lime Dessert Bars
As soon as the bars come out of the oven, prepare the glaze.
In a small bowl combine the powdered sugar, 2 tsp. key lime juice and just enough water to make is spreadable
But you don’t want it too thick.
Pour the glaze over the key lime bars and spread evenly with a spatula.

Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting.C

Store the Key Lime Cookie Bars in an airtight container.
