Do It Yourself Jar Re-purposing
My daughter-in-law Ashley is at it again. This time she transformed ordinary empty jars and vases from yard sales or the dollar section at stores. This makeover offers dimension and style to change up any room on a budget and it was incredibly easy. Thank you Ashley!
Do It Yourself Jar Re-purposing
Supplies:
Any jar you want to re-purpose (one of these pictured is a salsa jar)
Spray paint: Ashley prefers Valspar or Krylon brands
Disposable gloves
Disposable table cloth or newspaper
Directions:
Outside, to have plenty of ventilation, place your jar on a plastic table cloth or newspaper, anything to protect your area.
Spray the outside of the bottle very lightly and with even sprays. Twist and rotate bottle between sprays.Gloves would have been a good idea – highly recommended .
Allow bottles to dry in a an area where they will not be disturbed.
Ashley prefers Valspar or Krylon brand spray paint for great coverage and color.Caution: Spraying too close, or in too heavy of sprays will cause the pain to run and drip like this.
Set beside the beautiful ombre mirror (click HERE to see the tutorial to makeover a mirror), it really brightens and decorates a mantle, window sill, a counter, bookshelf, ANYWHERE!

love the vases very pretty thanks for sharing
Great idea! I love vases, but never want to purchase them, and I happen to have a few old jars lying around. This project even looks to be very simple–can’t do anything that will take too many steps in my house, so this looks like a great fit for us! Thanks for sharing! I’ve pinned it for later. Linking up behind you from Family Friday Fun! 🙂
I’m here from the be-you-tiful link up! What a great makeover to something I’m sure most people have laying around the house. I love a good up-cycle.
Great, fun decorating project! Thanks so much for sharing your creativity on Show-Licious Craft & Recipe Party! Please join us again this Saturday morning at 8:00 am EST! 😉
