It’s a CLASSIC family favorite that sings of summer and a fabulous way to use up those cucumbers.
Add in some tangy vinegar and spices, and it makes it all delish and wonderful.
This is an amazingly fresh, crisp and flavorful dill and cucumber combination, that is so refreshing and unique; you’ll find yourself making it over and over again.
As a terrific accompaniment to a sandwich, burger, or to eat all on it’s own as a snack.
Homemade Danish Cucumbers
2 – 3 medium cucumbers, peeled and thinly sliced (English, Italian, anything from the garden works well)
1/3 cup cider vinegar
1/3 cup water
2 Tbl. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. Montreal Steak Seasoning
Snipped fresh dill weed or fresh parsley
In a zip-lock baggie mix the vinegar, water, sugar, salt. pepper and dill weed or fresh parsley.
Add in the sliced cucumbers.
Refrigerate, flipping the baggie over occasionally as it chills, allowing it to be in the refrigerator for approximately 1- 3 hours.Drain off liquid and serve.
Keep any leftovers in the refrigerator.
