Best Instant White Cocoa Mix

When you want to indulge in a bit of sophistication, this delightful drink will definitely satisfy.

My incredibly talented friend Christine Christina Leonhardt told me about her white hot chocolate drink. Thank you Christine!

Then a fabulous reader emailed in and said she added in pudding to the mix, which of course I just had to try, and it is even better! She used regular cook & serve, I used instant, so you can choose. Thank you for your suggestion my reader friend!

After a few tweaks and experimenting, I think this is perfection. You’ll have to give it a try. 

Make sure to get the attractive recipe card to attach to your mix, so you can easily whip this up for a gift! 




BEST Instant WHITE Cocoa Mix

Ingredients:

4 oz. Lindt white chocolate bar, broken into pieces              

1   1/2 cups powdered milk

1/2 cup white chocolate chips

1/2 cup vanilla or French vanilla non dairy creamer

2 teaspoons dutch processed cocoa (yes, it is dark cocoa)              

1/4 teaspoon salt

3.56 oz. box of White Chocolate or Vanilla Instant Pudding mix

Directions:

In a food processor combine all the ingredients

Pulse until the chocolate chips and candy bar are in very small pieces.

Store the mix in a jar with a tight fitting lid or a zip lock bag.

Use 2 Tbl. (or more, depending on how rich you like your hot cocoa) in 6 oz. of boiling water.

Stir to melt the mix into the water.

Enjoy

      Wow! This is so decadent & delicious! I just drank a cup & it tastes like more! I make another hot cocoa that includes cook & serve pudding mix so I added 1 3oz box of cook & serve vanilla pudding & blended that in with the other ingredients & had another cup. It was even more delicious & creamier!

          Hi Carrie, I am indulging in another cup of gourmet hot cocoa! I followed your recipe & made milk chocolate hot cocoa by using a Lindt milk chocolate bar, milk chocolate chips & added a 3 oz box of cook & serve chocolate pudding. Mmmmm! I hope you try it! I had to try a cup to make sure it as delicious as your white cocoa because I am sending 1 jar of each to a friend who is recovering from surgery. She will love them! Thanks!

As you can see from the edited recipe I did include your modification and because I don’t know your name (though I do have an email out asking for name and permission to give full credit), I did give you a shout-out.     How many servings will this make. I need to serve about 60!!

    • I’m so glad you are making this amazing drink Kristan, it’s SSSOOO good! I believe it will serve about 8- 10, but I like my drinks strong, and some like it a little less flavorful. And it also depends on the size of cups you are using. So personally, I would make 10 -12 batches to be safe. And if there are any leftovers, you can use it yourself over the winter, or gift it this holiday season in cute containers from the dollar store! Enjoy and let us know how your guests like it:)

      I’ve heard of the hot cocoa bombs, but I haven’t tried the yet. I haven’t tried this particular recipe with milk instead of water either. I think it might work? It can’t hurt, right? Please let me know. Thanks

    Is this shelf stable? And how long does it stay good?

      Hello, you can definitely keep it in you pantry or cupboard in a cool dry place for approximately 3-4 months. Since it contains grated chocolate with the other ingredients combined, I would not recommend keeping it longer. I personally have not had any issues and as long as it’s not in a warm area, it shouldn’t spoil. Enjoy:)
