Valentine Bark

Here is an easy, delicious and thoughtful gift to give to those you know, who might be alone,  or their own sweetheart might be away for work or the military – really for anyone who could use a pick-me-up this Valentine season. 

Your kindness, with this simple and economical treat, would be priceless to any recipient.

Valentine Chocolate Bark


1 lb. white chocolate buttons/melts/chips Or light pink

1 cup roasted peanuts

3 – 3 1/2 cups of broken pretzels

Candy sprinkles, if desiredValentine Bark 1


In a large bowl, break the pretzels into piecesValentine Bark 2Pour in the peanuts Line a cookie sheet or jelly roll pan with waxed paper or parchment.  In a microwavable bowl, place the white chocolate and heat in the microwave for 20 seconds; stirValentine Bark 3Continue this process until the chocolate is smooth and the temperature a little more than that of a baby bath.Valentine Bark 4

Pour the melted chocolate over the pretzel & peanut mixture.  Stir gently.Valentine Bark 5

Valentine Bark 6Pour onto the wax paper or parchment lined pan; spread thin. Top with any sprinkles your heart, or Valentine, desires!Valentine Bark 7Allow to completely cool and set up, then break into small pieces. Store in an airtight container.
