Homemade Cough Syrup 1

I really like this homemade cough syrup or remedy I found on Barefeet In the Kitchen while looking for homemade solutions for the cold and flu season.  The ingredients are easily found in your kitchen and are powerfully potent components that combine to soothe and calm coughs.  C’mon in and Give it a try.


Homemade Cough Syrup

Ingredients:

2 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar

2 Tablespoons honey

2 Tablespoons water

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1/4 teaspoon ground dry ginger

 

Directions:

Place all the ingredients in a small container or jar and shake to combine well.

You can leave out at room temperature for a day or two, or in the refrigerator for longer storage.

Shake well before using to combine all the ingredients.

This is a thin liquid and will remain watery.

Take anywhere from a teaspoon to a tablespoon as desired.
