Another terrific 2nd Sunday with some familiar and some new friends.

It was a busy week added to the schedule, I spent two days scrubbing the house (things that I don’t normally do during the week, like dusting the ceiling, cleaning the fridge and freezer).

DSC_2627I had meetings, cub scouts and obligations, so Stan was an angel and went shopping for me with the list I made for the food I was making for Sunday. He even price-matched and used the coupons I sent him with – awesome guy!

Saturday was the major cooking day this month. I prepared and began cooking while Stan did the ‘usual Saturday activity’, which is that he, our sons and grandkids go to Sam’s Club for the hot dog or pizza combo, then onto the best part – the samples, heehee.

Our youngest grandson cannot say grandpa or grandma, but when it’s Saturday and time for the Sam’s Club outing, he will not leave without grandpa and repeats, “hot dog” over and over again.

 DSC_2629When Stan returned home he stepped into his terrific sous chef

role and chopped 10 lbs. of carrots for the dinner,

along with a few other jobs I delegated to him.
