Our Family Halloween

Halloween Fun

We LOVE parties, getting together, celebrations, traditions and just having good, wholesome FUN!  Halloween can be scary and sinister.  However, we have chosen to join in and participate without the evil or terror aspects that so often is a part of this holiday.  Here are some of the things we did this year.  I would really like to hear from YOU what you did to make Halloween ‘friendly’ so we can all have ideas for next year! Continue for more great ideas and pictures!

Here are some pictures from parties and places we have been this season to have fun.  I apologize to my sweet daughter in law Ashley.  I don’t have any pictures of her in this collection because when we decorated cookies and did the fun party at my house; for some reason the pictures were over exposed and I don’t have one of them with her decorating the cookies…I’m very sad about that:/    To all, I hope you enjoy the pictures and thank you so much for being a friend to A Mother’s Shadow, me and my family.

When I asked my grandkids what they wanted to do at our family Halloween party, they said decorated cookies and one grandson said he wanted to Bob for Apples – so we did!

The train ride is always a favorite

We also took my mom Connie on an excursion from the rehab center she has been staying at after her hip replacement.  My handsome hubby ‘danced’ with her.  My sis Jody and I had a blast hanging out with her also at Gardner Village at the Witches Night Out.

  1. Your g*kiddos are just so stinking cute! How in the world did you end up with so many lil ones? Are ALL your g*kids under the age of 5? (You don’t really have to answer that first question…I think I have an idea *wink*) It’s so good to know that you make this time of year something positive for you and your family. Glad to see Connie recovering well!

    • I KNOW, they are all bunched together, and I HOPE I get some more – hint*. All are under 6. We do have a great time and thank you for the well wishes to mom. Have a fun and safe Halloween to you and your family Tasha!

  2. Carrie,

Looks like everyone had such a fun time this fall. I love seeing all of you in the train and the background is beautiful. The mountains are beautiful. It is so different than Arkansas.
We went apple picking for the first time ever. It was lots of fun and the perfect cool fall day.
Thanks for sharing about your fall season.
    Blessings,
    Diane

    • Oh, I would love to go apple picking. Maybe someday you can come to Utah and see our amazing mountains and I can come see yours, wouldn’t that be awesome! That’s the best about blogging, all the friends we make across the world. Thanks for coming by Diane.
