Water Balloon Volley Ball
Water Balloon Volley Ball

Ready for summer fun? It’s easy as 1-2-3, just come and see!

Balloon Volley Ball or Toss

This easy, low prep activity is for ALL ages.

  1. Simply grab a towel (older is best, save your new!), a few water balloons and the game is on.
  2. You can set up a net if you have one, run a line for a net, or just have it a free-for-all and have a team of 2 toss to another team of
  3. The object is to have one team toss their water balloon from the towel they are holding to another team to catch who are also holding a towel.

There are TWO ways you can work this game. One way is a bit competitive as it is played like tennis; tossing ‘in bounds’ and trying to score points. OR It can be a way to teach cooperation by having each team, having to stand so many feet or yards apart, from the other team, then tossing the balloon to the other team to catch. Either way, it can be done with 2 teams or many teams spread out in the yard or park and ALL ages! Enjoy time as a family and have a great time—getting wet! 1. What a great idea. Simple, inexpensive, and will keep my Grandson entertained for hours as well as having a fun activity that we can enjoy together. Sometimes trying to find one that works for all or us can be difficult for this old Grandma. Thanks for the Excellent idea! Blessings to you and your family…Shari

  2. Looks like so much fun! I’ve been on the lookout for water activities (both my kids totally love splashing about) and I found this while searching online which also looks like fun: Water Activities .. I had heard of and even played volleyball earlier but this is the first time I heard about something called ‘Balloon volleyball’ – all thanks to you! :-)
