Before play stations, electronics and modern toys of today, what did children and adults do for entertainment?

Pioneer Games & Entertainment

It is so important for our kids to know of the past to better understand their own life and the future.

A terrific way to do this is by playing games.

I have 2 sites you can link to for games and instructions of what was played in days gone by.  There are several that are very easy to put together with little or no preparation so you and your family can give these a try!

A few are:

Marbles

Poor doggy (or kitty)

Who Has The Button?

Bean bag double can

Spinning Tops

Stick Pull

Buzz Saw

Hoop Roll  – use a large embroidery hoop and yard stick if handy

Graces – use medium embroidery hoop and dowels

The sites are:

FOR A TREAT, I found from my reading that

Ginger Cookies were common in the 1800’s.

In the midst of all the electronics they don’t have any clue what they are missing.I appreciate you giving not only a great reminder but the links for those of us who need a little help remembering. Thanks Carrie. ha ve a great rest of your week.
    Blessings,
    Shari
